Today is a sad day for Britain, 106 year old Louisa Watts has been evicted from the care home she was fighting to keep open during a cold snowy day.
In their infant wisdom Wolverhampton city council decided that this was the right thing to do as a part of their cost cutting exercises. This is nothing short of criminal behaviour and a further sign that this country is losing respect for the elderly at an astonishingly alarming rate.
Not much surprise after disgraced Harriet Harman decides its OK for us to work over the age of 65 and people should retire later. Let’s hope Harriet will work through her 70s and 80s prviding she doesn’t kill herself driving whilst on the phone first.
It really is not very funny, this poor lady had nothing but a blanket and umbrella to protect her from the sub zero temperatures. I am left wondering what the type of character would be able to order such a move in such life threatening weather conditions.
I am not alone in my questioning of the timing. The relatives of the other four residents and Louisa Watts also would like answers as to why the move was not put back to a later date when the weather conditions would be far less dangerous for the residents.
There is not much more you can say on this, maybe the home needed to shut maybe it didn’t but one thing is for certain it did not need to have its residents thrown out into the snow on a day like this.
Please do not forget that these care homes are exactly that, they are the resident’s ‘homes’ just as you have an emotional attachment to your home so do many residents.
Shame on those in Wolverhampton city council who are responsible for this, you will be old yourself one day.

How can this government stand by and allow this to happen, when they lavish money and property on illegals at our expense. This woman has proberbly worked all her life and paid into the country. It’s about time we all stood up and be counted for what is happening, and force the money grabbers to account. What a very sad state of affairs, what a very sad country (for the English) this has become. Both my father and brother were in both wars for the betterment of the world, it worked. Now however it’s for the betterment of the strong and greedy. The ones in power leading the way on how to fill your pockets.

The article about a Care Home Eviction written by Richard Henley Davis is just another half-truth politically biassed article at present flooding the media and brain washing the public against the current government and its politicians. And we get concerned about the control of the media in countries like China – the UK is becoming a disgrace to free speech and democracy as our country becomes ruled my media tycoons and their equally biased, minions.
@ Mr TU what is the real story then?
She’s 106 and in a carehome that has to close to save money for us tax payers. She is being transferred to another comfortable care home nearby. What is so wrong with that? She’s not being thrown into the streets for God’s sake! At 106 she has no cause to complain – and neither does her 77 year old son (who doesn’t seem to want to care for her himself).
Enough Already good to see you!…..as I said in the article its the timing I have issue with as did the relatives of those being moved. If the conditions are bad then the move must be postponed until the conditions are less life threatening.
