The question of Scottish independence is now beginning to gain traction in UK politics. But one question will be which route would the Scots take: a Scottish 'Poond' or would they join the EU in their own right and under current rules be forced to adopt the Euro?

I think they would (if they went for independence) go for the Euro for no other reason than to stick one on the English. And the rest of the Eurozone would welcome them with open arms if they did and probably give them endless grants as a thank-you.
