He could cross the Sahara Desert without modern equipment and do all sorts of wonderful things that we cannot do today.

Sitting quite comfortably in the 21st century with the internet and all manner of electronic information at our fingertips we tend to look back at stone age man as inferior in his understanding of his environment and the world he lived in.
This perception of stone age man is completely inaccurate though and his understanding of his environment was far greater than ours. Try throwing a scientist outside in the cold on a winters night in the middle of nowhere with only his hands to survive and see what happens to him.
OK stone age man could not operate the Large Hadron Collider but that’s not the point.
The point is both stone age and modern man have a very different understanding and perception of nature. Both are practical in their own environments and both are out of place if the roles are swapped.
It has just been discovered that the Sahara Desert had Wet periods which meant that clever old stone age man thought….
“Hmmmm its raining in that big sandy place which is usually too dry to cross and it was raining there at the same time last year. If it does it again next year I am packing the wife and kids and taking them on a journey across it in the name of exploration and broadening the knowledge of man and his understanding of the universe…..of course this is all after I procreate to the point where my descendants will be counted in millions ”
And here in Britain Stone age man made great stone structures such as Stonehenge with rocks from West Wales which were transported to the henge for erecting using techniques we can only speculate on and have great difficulty recreating the structures with the materials available to him.
Did Stone Age man have mortgage and debt? No.
Did he pay tax to a body outside of his immediate clan? No.
Was he ruled by a group of people from a outside his country? No.
Did he have a say in his community where everyone knew him personally? Yes.
It is therefore concluded that Stone age man was far more intelligent than his descendants……don’t listen to the scientists, they leave baguettes lying around inside machines trying to recreate the big bang.

Personally I thing our ancestors had more knowledge and wisdom than we will ever know. The indigenous remote tribes could teach us a thing or two if we are willing to listen…
