More than one and a half thousand people applied for just one job with a London tech start up.
MVF, a customer acquisition firm in Kentish Town, said they received the huge amount of applications over the last month for the entry level marketing role with its brand ExpertMarket.
The vast majority of applicants were already living in London suggesting huge amounts of job competition in the capital.
HR Assistant Lexie Newnham said: “MVF has been a top 100 small companies to work for, for two years running now, so we often get hundreds of people applying for each role. But to get 1.6 thousand people all competing for one job is incredible.
“Luckily for all those that weren't lucky this time, we are having a huge recruitment drive this summer with 100 jobs on offer.”
MVF CEO Titus Sharpe said: “London has a huge, skilled and diverse working population and it is testament to the staff we already have that so many people want to work here.”
