32,000-sq. foot, 70 new jobs, conference facilities for up to 72 people, 180 visitor capacity – the figures all add up to make Slough’s new Jump In Trampoline and Fitness Arena a formula for business success.

The brainchild of mumpreneur Linsey Willaford-West and her ex-city worker husband, Vernon West, Jump In is a family activity and exercise centre like no other. One of the largest venues of its kind in England, the site, which is due to launch on September 10th 2015, will host a range of high energy activities for all the family, including 3D Dodgeball, Kid Zone, Foam Pits, tumble tracks and a huge main court where people can jump freely between interconnected trampolines and literally bounce off the walls.

While Linsey and Vernon are the creative brains behind the venture, they needed someone to take the commercial helm, and ex-DHL division head Gavin Lucas was the ideal man for the job. Together they have taken a nebulous idea and created a burgeoning business success. The Berkshire Jump In Trampoline and Fitness Arena, which is powered by Altitude Trampoline Parks (a leading international operator with multiple sites across the US, as well as Japan, UAE, South Africa and India) has so far created 50 new full and part time jobs, with potentially more to come, making a significant impact on the local economy.

With the ‘obesity epidemic’ constantly in the news, people are looking for new ways to get fit, and it’s far easier to maintain an exercise regime if you can enjoy yourself while doing it. Providing an exercise facility that feels more like fun than hard work, that all the family can enjoy together, is a shrewd business move, and if the American models are anything to go by, Jump In is guaranteed success.

With Jump In, we’ve tried to create something special that visitors will want to come back to time and again,’ says Jump In CEO, Gavin Lucas. ‘So far, we’ve been able to create 50 new jobs, and invested more than £1million in the local economy, as the business grows that figure will rise. These are exciting times for us – and our customers.’

Jump In is based in in Dundee Road, Slough and will be open to the public after September 10th 2015. For more information, please visit http://gojumpin.com

About the founders:

JumpIn has been set up by a mumpreneur and two dadpreneurs who themselves are fun loving and adventuresome, always looking for activities to share with their children. Founders Linsey Willaford-West and Vernon West were visiting family in Fort Worth Texas when they came across Altitude Trampoline Park. They brought their toddler to the park and had so much fun that they came back nearly every day of the remainder of their trip! When they came back to the UK, they didn’t want the fun to stop and knew they had to bring the concept to their local neighbourhood. They reached out to Gavin Lucas to co-found and head up the organisation. Gavin was happily heading up a large division of DHL at the time, but was compelled by the unique opportunity as he was always passionate about sports and a fellow parent and could see trampoline parks transforming the way Brits get fit and play.
