When looking at elections, other than the result itself, many people would rather believe what the bookies are saying than what party hacks or professional pollsters are putting forward. That is because the people who bet are putting their money where their mouths are.
And William Hill have UKIP set to gain over a hundred seats in tomorrow's local elections.
William Hill fully expect UKIP to be the big winners in Thursday’s local elections and are offering 5/4 that they gain over a hundred extra seats. UKIP are 8/11 to gain more than 12.5% of the national vote but the odds suggest they will not poll more than the LibDems, who are 1/6 to gain more votes.
“There are a number of conflicting polls but we fully expect UKIP to make significant gains,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.
