Dusit Thani Manila has created a Silence Room, as part of its new Club Lounge, to provide guests with a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The room is Zen inspired and minimal with a wooden floor and sand pan in the centre and a feature accent wall to create a meditative ambience where guests can sit and contemplate in silence.
The Silence Room is the first of its kind for any Club Lounge in the Dusit International portfolio. Dusit Thani Manila’s General Manager, Alex Willats, said: “Business travel can be stressful with delays and missed flights or flights at awkward hours and at the end of the working day you don’t get to go home, but to a hotel room.
“We wanted to create a space that offers our guests the opportunity to ease the stress of travel and to take some time for themselves to improve their physical well-being and mental alertness.”
The Silence Room is part of the new Club Lounge at the luxury 538-bedroom hotel based in the heart of the Philippines’ financial district.
The 900sqm Club Lounge is situated on the top floor and the entrance foyer is on the 16th floor where guests are welcomed by a clean open foyer with indoor landscape that flows into the area. The lounge has a main dining area that opens into an outdoor area featuring a Thai inspired Pavilion for private conversations or reading with a small library about Thailand culture and other interests. The outdoor area is surrounded by lush landscape and waterscape that culminates into unique vertical gardens.
