The world's most successful and innovative entrepreneurs have descended upon Monaco for the 2017 EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year Award.
Now in its 17th year, EY's World Entrepreneur Of The Year is widely considered the world's most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs. The event celebrates the impact that entrepreneurs have through the innovations, jobs and economic growth they create, all of which help to build a better working world.
Fifty-nine (59) EY Entrepreneur Of The Year winners from 49 countries are competing for the World title and cementing their legacy by being inducted as the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year representing their country. The winner will be announced at a ceremony on Saturday evening, at Salle Des Étoiles.
World Entrepreneur Of The Year finalists are assessed by an independent panel of judges from around the world, most of whom have previously participated in Entrepreneur Of The Year programs.
In addition to the awards, this year's program includes a series of summits, keynote speeches, panel discussions and events of special interest to entrepreneurs, government officials and business leaders in attendance, including EY World Entrepreneur of the Year alumni. Sessions under the theme "Could uncertainty be your best opportunity for growth?" gives attendees the opportunity to share disruptive ideas, challenge conventional ways of thinking and discover together new opportunities to navigate uncertainty and growth at the new intersection of politics, economics, business, society.
Honouring the contributions of successful entrepreneurs across the globe, the program also aims to identify entrepreneurial role models for the next generation of business leaders – thereby helping foster new entrepreneurial activity and economic growth in participating countries.
