Organisations and individuals in the UK and internationally who are dedicated to keeping their workplaces and workers healthy and safe are invited to celebrate their achievements at the British Safety Council’s International Safety Awards Gala Dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, on Friday 25 April 2014.
Now in its 56th year, the International Safety Awards Gala Dinner is a prestigious black-tie event that recognises and honours businesses and organisations from around the world that have shown a real commitment to ensuring that no one is injured or made ill at work.
The event is open both to the winners of this year’s British Safety Council International Safety Awards – which recognise excellent health and safety management – and any organisation in the UK or internationally that wishes to celebrate its own commitment to high standards of health and safety at work and to network with hundreds of like-minded businesses and safety practitioners from around the globe.
The evening will feature formal award presentations, a fine dining experience and live entertainment and dancing. The keynote speaker is Kevin Myers, acting Chief Executive of the Health and Safety Executive, Britain’s main workplace health and safety regulator.
Alex Botha, the British Safety Council’s Chief Executive, said:
“The International Safety Awards Gala Dinner is one of the health and safety world’s most prestigious events, and is a great way to reward your employees, contractors and business partners for all their hard work in helping to keep your workplace healthy and safe.
“It is also an ideal opportunity to promote and publicise your health and safety achievements by inviting clients, customers, contractors and business partners to celebrate with you on the night, and offers excellent networking opportunities with hundreds of safety-conscious organisations and individuals.”
He added: “The International Safety Awards rightly recognise that sensible and well-managed occupational health and safety is of great social and economic value; it protects people and is good for business. I invite any organisation or individual in the UK or internationally committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of staff to join us on the night to celebrate the benefits of exemplary health and safety performance.”
