If you’re cutting it fine, go online!
With less than two weeks to go before 5 April, The Association of Investment Companies (AIC) has collated ISA deadline dates from members and their managers. It is worth bearing in mind that in some cases, deadlines for online and postal applications are treated differently.
For ISA deadlines, special offers, factsheets and information on ISA charges amongst individual providers, investors can visit the AIC’s website, www.theaic.co.uk.
Annabel Brodie-Smith, Communications Director, Association of Investment Companies (AIC) said: “With the Isa deadline fast approaching, investors ‘cutting it fine’ should be aware that postal and online applications are in some cases treated differently, with ‘close of business’ 5 April being the norm for many postal applications compared to closer to midnight for online applications.
“At a time when savers and consumers are feeling the pinch, it’s really important to make the most of your tax free ISA allowance. It’s not too late and it’s worth considering investment companies, which are a useful way to tap into the long-term potential of the stock market and have an independent board of directors to represent shareholders.”
