Jeremy Clarkson has found himself the centre of media speculation over allegations that he has been having an affair with a work colleague.
The 50 year old Top Gear presenter is is said to have had an affair with a 42 year old work mate whilst on the Top Gear Live Tour in an article published in the Sunday Mirror.
According to the Sunday Mirror the co-worker in question is said to have spent a great deal of time with Clarkson and that they spent nights together dining and may have spent nights in the same hotel room.
Both Clarkson and the lady in question have denied the allegations.
I find it unbelievable that, at a time when the Middle East is in breakdown and the Japanese nation is fighting for it's very existence, the British people choose to focus their minds on the possibility that a man who presents a show about the performance of cars may or may not be having an affair.
If he is having an affair then yes it's very sad for his wife and family but it is not to be unexpected for a high profile alpha-male to deviate away from his marital vows in a society which has turned it's backs on the Christian values that once made such notions of infidelity abhorrent.
The only reason the media wishes to publicise such allegations is for gossip mongering and to profit from the gossip.
