The X Factor credibility was is in Meltdown last year but the show is undergoing a revamp by actually having a talented judge on the panel.
Simon Cowell has given the wink of approval to the new judges on the X Factor Panel and phoned them up in order to motivate them to make the X Factor 2011 more entertaining than ever before.
ITV executives are a little worried that the show will lose some of its fan base since the departure of Cole and Minogue and not everyone is convinced about the choice of judges (not the first time Cowell has messed up in choosing a judge for an audience)
But at least there is Gary Barlow on the panel. If there was ever an award for an individual who has epitomised in recent times what genuine talent is then Gary Barlow gets the trophy. The Take That singer/songwriter is living proof that there is the chance that a manufactured band/artist can contain talent. Take That were successfully marketed and highly entertaining as a boy band but it became clear that through some freak of nature all of them were genuinely talented but they remain singled out as the exception in this and most certainly not the rule.
Gary has signed up to be a judge this year and he will sit alongside X Factor stalwart,Louis Walsh and two other relatively well known individuals. Kelly Rowland from Destiny's Child and Tulisa Contostavlosfrom N-Dubz will replace Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole as judges.
And that is where the problems may start…..Tulisa is the singer of a band that the greater percentage of the X Factor audience will never have heard of and Kelly Rowland is a singer from a band which most people (outside of hardcore Destiny's Child fans) perceive as Beyonce Knowles's backing singers. The fate of X Factor rests squarely on the shoulders of the new judges.
