Flat and house share website SpareRoom.co.uk has scooped two awards at the ‘letting industry Oscars’.
The SpareRoom team won the highly-acclaimed ‘Best Specialist Website’ and ‘Customer Service Specialist’ gongs at the national Landlord & Letting Awards. The ceremony, which took place in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, was hosted by TV presenter Sofie Allsop.
The awards were judged by a panel of industry experts, including Oliver Romain, editor of Landlord Magazine and Buy-to-Let Magazine. Oliver said: “The Landlord and Letting Awards are the letting industry Oscars and attract a lot of entries. Competition was particularly tough this year, however, the judges were really impressed with SpareRoom’s entry.”
Matt Hutchinson, director of SpareRoom.co.uk, comments: “Our website is obviously the heart of our business, making it simple and safe for people to find flatmates and connect with landlords. Online security and the war against spammers and scammers is something we take extremely seriously and we’d like to think these contributed to both our website’s recognition and customer satisfaction. Likewise, we’re unusual in that we provide free advice on flatsharing and letting, from how to take in lodgers to tenancy agreements – something our users tell us they’ve found particularly useful.
“We’re a professional team and work extremely hard, striving to be the best in our sector so we’re very proud of these two awards. It’s a massive bonus to be held in such high regard by our peers, and it will be a huge motivation for us to be even better at what we do in the future.”
