A U.S. national security official has told Reuters that the mission which resulted in Osama Bin Laden's death was not a mission to capture him.
He said "This was a kill operation," Doesn't get much clearer than that does it? There was NO intent to capture Bin Laden and retrieve invaluable intelligence information from him.
This news has sent the world of conspiracy theories into the stratosphere, considering the mission was almost certainly approved by the highest authority in the United States, the American President himself.
Conspiracy sites across the globe are full of chatter regarding this very decision with propositions such as Bin Laden died years ago to Obama is Bin Laden with reconstructive surgery.
People are also voicing their opinions over the US mission on Facebook and Twitter causing a mild strain on their respective servers.
One Facebook user joked "who said that Bins aren't taken out on Bank Holidays?"
Former Mayor of New York, Rudy Giuliani echoed Barack Obama's line of "Justice has been done".
Voicing his opinion on the mission he said "I feel a great deal of satisfaction that justice has been done, and I admire the courage of the president to make a decision like this because if something had gone wrong everyone would be blaming him".
However many Americans are just glad that the perceived perpetrator of the 9/11 attacks has finally been brought to justice and this might actually bring some closure to the families of loved ones who lost their lives on that fateful day.
