Taxand announces today that the German tax law and advisory firm Flick Gocke Schaumburg will be joining the organisation as Taxand's member for Germany. Taxand says it is tremendously pleased that Flick Gocke Schaumburg will be joining them and they look forward to working closely with the team in the future.
At the same time Taxand can confirm today that its current German member firm, Luther, will be leaving the organisation. Luther has advised its preference to be part of a broader legal network, rather than one focused solely on tax, as is the case for Taxand. The Board of Taxand and its members thanked their colleagues at Luther for their tremendous contribution over the years and to wish its partners, lawyers and staff the best in their futures.
Taxand further announces today the recent appointment of new members to its global Board. These appointments will strengthen the geographic diversity of our Board and further our development as the world's largest global organisation of tax advisors to multinational businesses.
Taxand recognises that global economic market dynamics are evolving and that multinational companies are facing dramatic changes to the international tax system and levels of tax transparency, as tax authorities increasingly share information. A truly diverse Board, representing strategic regions and economies, is required to meet this changing tax landscape. The further development of, and leadership from, these diverse markets will allow Taxand to offer an enhanced and seamless cross-border service, with knowledge sharing and best practice at its heart to deliver first class services to our clients.
Frederic Donnedieu, Chairman of Taxand, commented:
"I am delighted to welcome Flick Gocke Schaumburg to Taxand who are recognised as the leading specialised tax firm in Germany with extensive and long-standing experience in many key sectors. I know Taxand clients will benefit greatly from their outstanding expertise in German and international tax law. I want to thank our colleagues at Luther for their many years of contribution to Taxand and to wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
"Taxand continues to grow and align its business operations with our multinational clients. Providing a truly cross-border service to meet the demands of an increasingly interconnected world remains at the heart of Taxand's business strategy and service to our clients, as evidenced by the diversity of our leadership.
"Adding these new voices and perspectives to our Board will ensure that all Taxand clients, no matter where they are located, will benefit from an organisation that is led by a Board that understands the challenges they face regardless of the markets in which they operate."
