• TaxPayers' Alliance launch War on Waste Roadshow

• Roadshow launches 4th July with event on College Green in Westminster

• Roadshow will visit 29 towns and cities across England and Wales over 9 days

This month, the TaxPayers' Alliance will hit the road with our War on Waste Roadshow, stopping at 29 towns and cities across England and Wales over 9 days, exposing wasteful and inefficient spending by local authorities across the country.

For too long, local authorities have wasted taxpayers' money, keeping taxes too high and diverting precious resources away from frontline services. The TaxPayers' Alliance was founded in part to expose this waste and, in our tenth year, we're going back to basics; fighting inefficiency and ineffective spending, and holding local authorities responsible for every penny they spend.

Taking in every region of England and Wales – including the constituencies of all three main party leaders – we will hit the streets, leafleting and talking to local residents. Full details of the tour are listed below, and more detail can be found here.

The Roadshow will be launched at an event in Westminster on Friday 4th July.

TaxPayers' Alliance (TPA) Chief Executive Jonathan Isaby will make a short speech, and the event will be accompanied by an embargoed press release on Thursday 3rd July detailing examples of Government waste across the country. The launch will be attended by a number of TPA supporters and staff. Full details are below.

TPA spokesmen will be available throughout the tour at all locations to speak to local journalists and for live or pre-recorded broadcast interviews – please call 07795 084113 (no texts).
