TD’s latest apps provide first for mobile trading with funding on the go
Cyber Monday deal: BUYS placed through the app next week will cost just £1 commission
TD Direct Investing, one of the UK’s leading online investing companies, has launched its latest smartphone apps for iOS and Android devices, with a number of exciting new features, including a first for mobile investors – the ability for customers to fund their accounts on the move.
To celebrate the launch, from Cyber Monday, when markets open at 8:00am on Monday 30th November, all buy trades placed through TD Direct Investing mobile apps will cost just £1 commission. Discounted trades will last for five days, running until market closing on 4th December.
TD’s smartphone and tablet apps offer convenience and competitive advantage when trading. Carl Howard, Commercial Director at TD Direct Investing, said: “Nearly all of us are now totally dependent on our phones for news, information, entertainment, shopping and pretty much everything else we do during the day. This is why it’s so important that TD Direct Investing leads the way with mobile trading technology for the new age of on-the-go traders. We were the first to launch on mobile back in 2000 and continue to work with our customers to develop enhanced solutions.”
Referring to the Cyber Monday deal, Carl Howard commented:
“We can already see many of the leading retailers jostling for position and many even jumping the gun in a bid to boost their sales. Our Cyber Monday offer will hopefully give traders the chance to capitalise on any share prices that they believe look good value based on the performance of Black Friday. Even better, we’re keeping the offer open until market close on Friday so customers can properly research and consider their choices before they buy.”
With more and more people using phones to access the internet, having an easy-to-use, streamlined app that allows investors to manage their accounts at the touch of a button is fundamental.
TD Direct Investing was the first investment broker to provide a mobile offering, with the introduction of WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) back in 2000 – providing the first ever UK trade. It has continued to lead the way with technology innovation in the trading and investment space, including being the first to offer international dealing online in 2003, launching its first smartphone app in 2009 (quickly followed by android and iPad) and multi-currency in 2010. 2015 has seen a broad range of additions to its proposition including its Advanced Trading Platform, fund-selector, trading ideas and, most recently, its Quick Start Funds offering.
To participate in TD Direct Investing’s Cyber Monday offer, customers will need to download the Android and iOS-friendly app via mobile trading page. Want to tell us about your experience of the new apps? Tweet @TDDirect_UK.
