The Phobos Monolith. (A glint in Buzz Aldrin's eye.)
Let me take you away from the chaos of the election for a Minute or two by delving head on into the subject of space anomalies. In this crackpot world many people have studied the pictures from the Mars Rover and Mars Global Surveyor and believe they can see cities and other artefacts on Mars and even on our own moon.
We have all seen the famous humanoid face-shaped rock from mars but we know it’s not real, these images and shapes are caused by natural erosion due to the weather patterns and, if you look hard enough and long enough, you will find whatever your mind wants to find, from human faces to pyramids.
I myself am not a lunatic, neither do I believe in conspiracy theories, I believe in mathematics and science but I still have an open mind. Something though caught my attention yesterday, whilst watching an interview from last year with Buzz Aldrin. He spoke about space travel and the reasons we should be going back to the moon and even landing on asteroids. I know it was probably a lot of spin to get people talking about and therefore funding space travel, but what he said next definitely got my attention. He spoke about the moons of Mars, saying that on the moon Phobos there is a monolith and that when people see this they will start asking questions about it, some will say God put it there and others will say the universe put it there. These were his words and there is a definite glint in his eye when he speaks about the monolith.
After watching this I had to find out myself, so I had a look at the Mars Global Surveyor pictures and there it was, the monolith .This thing looks very strange to say the least. Unlike Mars, Phobos has no atmosphere so climate erosion is out of the question. There is also a theory that it is impact debris, but when you see the shape on this thing you too will question that theory.
Unlike the famous Mars face (which when viewed at a different angle turns out to be just ground formation) this really is a monolith. Surrounded by craters on a barren landscape this thing looks totally out of place. Scientists say the object is roughly the same height as a twenty eight storey building and is noted as scientifically attractive to all space agencies.
I don’t claim it’s ET because I do not have a clue as to what it could be. But it’s great to look at this marvel (ET or not) and let your mind think of the possibilities we don’t yet understand.
Russia has had trouble with Phobos in the past and wants to go back in 2011 with the Phobos-Grunt project, to collect samples of Phobos and return them to earth. Even if it turns out to be just a rock, it’s still an unexplained wonder.
Everything can be explained when you have all the facts. We just don't now enough to explain it.
We are children looking out and raring to go but grounded by practicalities such as travel spped.
Actually, if the history of the face investigation is followed carefully as opposed to taking what NASA hands out as scripture, one will find that viewing it from different angles still has it looking like a face. Scientifically, if one is willing to entertain the possibility that the phobos monolith is an intriguing site that deserves more investigation, then one should be willing to admit that Cydonia deserves the same close investigation. Or has the old argument of "Humans see what they want to see" suddenly not apply to Phobos?
Come on, its common knowledge NASA employs teams of "airbrush" professionals to eliminate "questionable" elements in their photo graphs so the public does not ask questions. . Be only a matter of time before they code this one into the memory banks of history as dirt on the lenses or something. Its a marker all right, of considerable significance I would bet… Prob contains the history of every living thing….
