Grant Shapps, the Conservative Party Chairman, has launched a new video highlighting the 'Good News for Britain' on today's employment figures (video below).
After berating the Labour Party at PMQs over the opposition's reluctance to acknowledge good news when they saw it, the Prime Minister was the first to tweet the video.
Grant Shapps said:
“Today it was announced that unemployment has fallen again. The number of people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance is lower than at the general election. This is good news for Britain and encouraging news for the economy – but bad news for Ed Miliband.
“He claimed that rebalancing the economy wouldn’t work. He claimed that businesses wouldn’t create new jobs, employment would fall and unemployment would soar. He was wrong, as our film shows.
“The economy is moving from rescue to recovery, but we must not take the recovery for granted; we’ve still got a long road ahead of us.”
