Tracy Postert, a former Occupy Wall Street protester, has now achieved the aim and actually occupies Wall Street for real after taking a banking job.
She joined the OWS Zuccotti Park protest but after a few days of holding up 'Reagan Sucks' and 'I'll vote after the revolution' placards, she decided to declare her interest in getting a job.
So she swapped the anti-finance signs for one that advertised that she has a PhD in biomedical science. "Ph.D. biomedical scientist seeking full time employment" it read.
This led to her being spotted by the chief market analyst of the John Thomas Financial Brokerage, Wayne Kaufman, who after taking a copy of her CV got her an interview, she got the job and is now studying for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams.
She told the New York Post 'I had been unemployed for so long, I thought why not?'
And Thomas Belesis, her new boss, was equally delighted but more with getting one over the OWS movement. 'She was ranting about Wall Street, and now she's working on Wall Street. Banks are not so bad. I hope we have opened her eyes.' he said.
So she went from occupying Wall Street from the outside to occupying Wall Street from the inside and ultimately on her way to a very well paid job.
